Trust & privacy

Trust is the product.

Gobos only works if attendees are comfortable taking part. So it's built around one rule: we only use what an attendee gave us, or approved.

Our rules

Six things we don't bend on.

Opt-in, always

Attendees choose to take part and control who can see them. Nothing is scraped.

Reasons from what you told us

Every introduction is explained using what the attendees declared. We never invent a reason, or guess one from a profile.

Both sides or nothing

An introduction needs a yes from both people. A meeting only counts in the report when both confirm it.

Honest when it's thin

If we don't know enough to make a good suggestion, we say “not enough yet” rather than fill the list.

Nothing sensitive, ever

We never display salary, age, demographics, or any label we've inferred about someone.

No hidden access

We don't sell attendee data, and sponsors get no side door into who's attending.

The data

What we use, and what we don't.

From the organizer
The registration details attendees agreed to share with the event — typically name, work email, company and role. Only for attendees whose registration allows it.
From attendees
Who they want to meet, what they can offer, and anything else they choose to add. They can change it at any time.
Public professional details
Only if the organizer authorizes it, we may look up public work details like company and role to fill gaps. Suggested details are reviewed before they're used.
What we never use
Scraped social profiles, private messages, or anything an attendee didn't agree to share.
What we never show
Salary, age, demographics, or labels we've inferred. Attendees only ever see what the other person shared or approved.

Your data, your call

Ask us anything about it.

Want to see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted? Email us and a person will take care of it.
